 Creative Gourd Rim With Feather Shard Trim. 

 instr,  Bonnie Cox, Pres of  Illinois Gourd Society. 
Learn to cut and clean a gourd, create a rim of found materials, and draw or woodburn a feather from a gourd shard.  Instructor provides lacing materials, needle, use of a drill, saw, scrapers, woodburner, dye, and printed instructions.  Students provide a gourd which can be purchased on site from a wide selection of dried gourds.  Good class for students who need to learn the basics of cutting, cleaning and dying gourds.  We will use found dried materials from the farm for the rim.  $20.  Drop in class, but will take several hours for the entire project.

Sue Cutter will teach using silk from silkworms on a bracelet. Cost is

Melanie will teach weaving on a gourd, and maybe a gourd mask.

Draw pumpkins, ghosts and bats with colored pencils on a gourd.  Blow India Ink using a straw to make  scary Halloween branches.  Make a moon and highlights with glitter.  Instructor provides India Ink, straws, colored pencils, glitter glue, and written instructions. Students provide creativity, lots of wind, and a gourd.  Cost $20.  Good for children and artists of all abilities. Instructor:  Jo Lakota
